Root canal prices vary a lot between practices. Of the 15 UK practices in our survey that publish a price for root canal treatment (front tooth), the middle price was £455 (per tooth), with published prices from £286 to £1,090. Most of these (9 of 15) are "from" prices, so expect your final bill to be at or above them. On the NHS it falls under Band 2, currently £76.60 in England (from 1 April 2026), if it is clinically needed.

NHS or private

NHS Band 2 includes "root canal treatment". You pay one charge for each course of treatment, and if you need treatments from different bands you pay the highest band.
